This is "The Critic" by Schoenberg. I thought for sure that this was a reflection of how Schoenberg felt about critics who judged his art, his music, and him as a human being. The ears are large which leads me to believe that he felt that the critics were listening for every detail and flaw. The leering smile also seems to say that this diabolical fellow was hoping Schoenberg would falter and fail.

This is the mass grave where Mozart is buried.
This memorial to him really hit home for me. I ended up attending the Mozart Requiem at the Karlskirche in order to truly get the real Mozart experience.

These are the glasses of the best German Lieder composer of all time-Franz Schubert.

I had the privilege to hear his Unfinished Symphony with the Vienna Philharmonic and Riccardo Muti!

This is the lovely countryside on our way down from Heiligenstadt.
This is the beautiful Staatsoper where we saw the amazing Renee Fleming as the Countess in Capriccio.
